Baxter’s Buddies is run by Lisa Smith.

Lisa

Baxter’s Buddies was founded in 2017 by Lisa Smith. Lisa began her career after completing a Commerce Degree in Management from Otago University and worked in Sydney and London before returning to New Zealand and changing career paths.
She found her real passion in education and after finishing a post-graduate diploma in teaching, taught in Auckland, and in International Schools in both Kuala Lumpur and Perth.
 
Lisa is passionate about creating an after-school programme that is active, educational and most of all fun! She is a mother of three and understands the demands that are placed on working parents.

Baxter

Baxter is Lisa’s family dog and used to come to the school gate every day to pick up our first Baxter’s Buddies. He would often go on excursions to the beach and loved being the centre of attention. Baxter still makes the occasional visit to remind us all that he is still an important part of the team!

Lisa, who runs Baxter’s Buddies, has a background in teaching and a strong focus on literacy.

Homework Supervision

No-one wants to try to wrangle tired kids after dinner to do their homework, let us do it for you!

Our carers are parents too, so they understand the challenges of juggling work and kids!

Artistic Pursuits

Is your child not the sporty type? No hassles! We have loads of arts and crafts activities too!
